Quality

Our Quality

At PX Electronics, quality is part of how we specify, build, test and support the equipment we supply. Our static frequency converters, AC power supplies, power analysers, inverters, and motor drives are used in applications where stable power, accurate measurement and dependable operation matter. That is why we focus on practical engineering controls, supplier standards, clear documentation and responsive after-sales support, rather than treating quality as a final inspection exercise.

Quality Management

PX Electronics maintains a Quality Management System compliant with ISO 9001:2015 and appropriate to the scale and nature of our business. The system provides a framework for managing customer requirements, supplier performance, product configuration, inspection, testing, and continuous improvement. It also ensures quality objectives are reviewed by senior management and communicated across the business.

Designed for Real-World Reliability

Power equipment is often expected to operate for long periods in demanding environments, sometimes with limited maintenance access. Our approach is to favour proven designs, suitable components, robust protection and clear serviceability. Whether the requirement is a 400Hz static frequency converter for aviation ground power or a power analyser for test and measurement, the equipment must perform consistently once installed.

Supplier Control and Bought-In Materials

The reliability of a finished system depends heavily on the quality of the components, materials and services used to produce it. We work closely with suppliers to set clear expectations for bought-in materials, electrical components, assemblies and specialist services. Where required, incoming goods are checked against specification before they are released into production or supplied to customers.

Inspection, Testing and Verification

Products are inspected and tested before dispatch to confirm compliance with the agreed requirements. Testing may include electrical safety checks, voltage and frequency verification, functional checks, protection testing, communications checks and load testing where applicable. For larger or more complex systems, Factory Acceptance Testing can be supported so customers have confidence in the product before it leaves our facility.

Compliance and Documentation

PX Electronics works to applicable statutory, regulatory, and product-compliance requirements relevant to the equipment we supply. Documentation is treated as part of the product, not an afterthought. Depending on the system, this may include technical data, operating guidance, test records, calibration information, compliance documentation and installation support.

Our People

Quality depends on people as much as process. We train and support our staff so they understand the requirements of the Quality Management System and their role in delivering products and services to the required standard.

This includes attention to detail in sales, procurement, assembly, testing, documentation and technical support. Each stage relies on staff following agreed procedures, taking ownership of their work, and raising any issues early if standards are not met.

Through ongoing training, clear communication and day-to-day support, we help ensure our people have the knowledge and confidence to work consistently and support continuous improvement across the business.

Health and Safety

PX Electronics is committed to carrying out work safely and responsibly, with consideration for employees, customers, suppliers, visitors and the wider environment. Health and safety are considered alongside quality because reliable engineering should not create unnecessary risk during production, installation, use or maintenance.

Post-Sales Support and Calibration

Our involvement does not end when equipment is delivered. PX Electronics provides post-sales technical support and calibration services to help customers keep equipment operating correctly over time. This is particularly important for customers using power conversion and measurement equipment in critical operational or test environments.

Continuous Improvement

We review customer feedback, supplier performance, internal processes, and product performance to identify opportunities for improvement where they matter. This supports a practical, risk-based approach to quality and helps us improve both standard products and bespoke systems over time.

Senior Management Commitment

PX Electronics’ senior management team is responsible for ensuring the Quality Management System remains effective, properly resourced and aligned with the needs of the business and its customers. We review quality objectives and performance periodically to ensure the system continues to support consistent products, reliable service, and long-term customer confidence.
