AC Power Supply

PX Electronics AC power supplies provide controlled AC output for product testing, validation, frequency conversion and specialist electrical equipment applications. Designed for laboratories, manufacturers and engineering teams, the PXe Series can be configured with fixed or adjustable voltage and frequency output to support repeatable testing under defined supply conditions.

Available in single phase and three phase configurations, the range supports common 50Hz and 60Hz requirements, with higher frequency outputs, including 400Hz, available where required. Solid-state IGBT PWM conversion, sine-wave output, and transformer isolation make the PXe Series suitable for test benches, production environments, aerospace equipment, marine systems, and industrial electrical loads.

Configuration:

PXe AC power supplies can be configured around the available input supply, required output voltage, output frequency, phase arrangement and power rating. The range covers compact laboratory units through to larger industrial systems, with single phase output ratings currently listed from 0.5kVA to 200kVA and three phase output versions listed from 1kVA to 2000kVA, depending on configuration.

Output voltage and frequency can be fixed or adjustable. Standard output frequency options include 50Hz, 60Hz, 100Hz, 200Hz and adjustable ranges, with optional 400Hz, 40 to 500Hz, 16.67Hz, 25Hz and higher-frequency configurations available where required.

Each system uses solid-state conversion technology to generate a controlled AC output rather than relying directly on site mains conditions. This makes the range suitable for test environments where engineers need to validate equipment under repeatable voltage and frequency conditions.

Integrated transformer isolation provides electrical separation between the input and output, while supporting cleaner power delivery to connected equipment. Protection functions are available for overcurrent, overload, overvoltage, overtemperature, and short-circuit conditions.

Depending on the application, systems can be supplied with standard or higher IP-rated enclosures, rack-mount formats for smaller units, mobile arrangements, custom terminations and communication interfaces for automated or remote test environments.
